Winter Haven Oral Surgery
Patient Review
My dental needs are unusual. Dr. Cornejo made me comfortable, addressed each area of concern and divided down the procedure(s) to a point I feel safe and assured his main concern is making sure my comfort zone stays a priority, and my long term dental needs remain the goal. I went to 3 places before Winter Haven Oral Surgery, those places made me feel they operate that money, speed and assembly line are priority to taking time to understand the difficulties of my needs.

Dr. Ramirez and Kay took excellent care of me during my need for an emergency tooth extraction. I felt at ease with their expert procedure and Kay was clear in explaining follow up directions. I am very grateful and will not hesitate to go to WHOS if the need should arise in the future.

Absolutethe most incompetent staffing person at this practice. They will accommodate you. They're very corgial, respectful and nice. Mr. Ramirez was concise in his diagnosis, but there's a reason why there is a Maserati parked in front of the practice. I have dental insurance and it's understandable to check the policy in order to see what's covered. I went in on a Monday and there was the earliest appointment was for the following week on Tuesday. I needed two molars extracted. I clearly agreed with Mr. Ramirez and Judy that I would take that appointment. Judy stated that they have to check with the insurance provider (United Healthcare). What's so hard about booking that date while checking with my dental insurance provider. I even called Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. to confirm that the appointment and insurance information was set. I didn't receive a call until 3:30 p.m. from Judy. Unfortunately I missed this call but called back and couldn't get a hold of her for the rest of their work day. This was because the office closes at 5:00 p.m. Needless to say I called again the next morning at 8:30 a.m. to find out that the Tuesday appointment wasn't available and I would have to endure 2 more days of pain because Judy couldn't schedule an appointment 1 work week in advance. I understand that situations arise, but this was their error not mine. Their practice needed to make this right and not by prescribing pain medication, but by scheduling me in to correct this unexcusable error. Mr. Ramirez should have stepped up to the plate and corrected this situation. The office manager should have stepped up to correct this situation. Someone should have done something instead of allowing the receptionist to feed a song and dance as to why I should accept their resolution and live with the pain and discomfort. Even when I requested Mr. Ramirez's referral for the extraction of the molars, I was refused by the receptionist. How very unprofessional was this? I couldn't even have my request accommodated, how un-American is this? I'm not sorry their feelings were hurt, but I am sorry that I chose their practice. If you are looking for a good dental practice, please remember what happened to me here.
