Ashley

Scheduling Coordinator
August 2020

Meet Ashley, one of our Scheduling Coordinators who joined our team in August 2020. She plays a key role in scheduling our patients’ appointments. Ashley is great at helping our patients whether they are on the phone or have walked in to make their appointments. She is responsible for inputting paperwork and getting all necessary information we need to be able to treat each patient. Ashley loves that our office is family friendly.

When away from work, Ashley is a dedicated mom and wife and enjoys family time. She volunteers as a cheerleading coach and at various sporting events. Ashley is passionate about helping children grow and better themselves through sports and community involvement.

Brandi

Insurance Coordinator
December 2005

Brandi is our dedicated Insurance Coordinator; she joined our team in December 2005. With a background in billing and coding she is responsible for filing insurance, following up on all claims, and sending pre-determinations for patient’s procedures. Brandi’s expertise in insurance ensures our patients get the most out of their insurance benefits. She loves that at times working with insurance companies can be challenging but it is always rewarding for her when she can help our patients utilize their benefits. Brandi is great at communicating with insurance companies to get estimates for patients and discuss claims for payment.
When she is not at work, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Berenice

Scheduling Coordinator
June 2023

Berenice, one of our Schedule Coordinators joined our team in June 2023. She plays a key role in scheduling our patients, she is responsible for calling patients that request an appointment through our website, come into the office, or call to schedule. Some of her responsibilities include confirming appointments, sending reminders for patients to do their paperwork online, and sending letters to our referring doctors. Berenice excels at checking patients in, and reassuring patients before their procedures. Outside of the office, Berenice finds joy in her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She loves to read, cook, shop, be outdoors, walk, and go to church.

Emily

Clinical Manager
January 1999

Emily joined our team in January 1999, and is our dedicated Clinical Manager. Due to her extensive experience as a surgical assistant, she leads our clinical staff and coordinates all clinical activities. Emily is responsible for training new staff and ensuring a safe workplace environment ensuring our office follows all state and national guidelines. She is PALS and DAANCE certified. Emily is a great assistant which allows her to be a role model and good team mate to her fellow coworkers. She loves getting to help people every day with her coworkers that are like family to her.

When she is not at work, Emily can be found at the gym, soccer fields, or by her pool; and enjoys spending time with her family.

Erika

Chief Operating Officer
October 2005

Erika is our dedicated Chief Operating Officer. She joined our team in October 2005. Erika manages our daily business operations. Some of her other responsibilities are payroll, strategic planning, financial management, and quality assurance of patient care. She received her Bachelors from USF in accounting. Erika enjoys working with numbers and ensuring each patient has an excellent experience at our office.

When not at work Erika finds joy in attending Tampa Bay Lightning games and reading.

Gabie

Sterilization Technician
April 2022

Meet Gabie our Sterilization Technician, she joined our team April 2022. She plays a key role in keeping our office clean. Her main responsibilities are decontaminating used surgical instruments, preparation of surgical equipment to be sterilized, and sterilization of all surgical instruments and medical equipment. Gabie’s favorite aspect of being a sterilization technician is utilizing her skills and experience to ensure we meet or exceed all sterilization requirements.

When she is not working, Gabie enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling.

Johana(Jo)

Scheduling Coordinator
November 2022

Johana, one of our scheduling coordinators, joined our office November of 2022. She is responsible for greeting patients when they walk in, help with anything patients need, input their paperwork, and schedule patients. Johana’s favorite part of her job is getting to feed her kids; our fish. She loves that we operate as a team and get to have fun while we work. Johana is great at helping our patients and her coworkers in any way she can.

When not at work, Johana enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her two dogs – a wiener and schnauzer. Johana and her husband enjoy going to Disney together.

Judy

Surgical Assistant
January 2001

Meet Judy, one of our surgical assistants that joined our team in January 2001. Judy is responsible for our inventory and ordering, and scheduling repairs for our equipment when we need them. She is PALS and DAANCE certified. Judy loves getting to help people and she is very empathetic which helps put our patients at ease.

Outside of work, Judy enjoys baking, spending time with friends and family, and “window shopping” online.

Lyndsey

Practice Manager
June 2011

As our dedicated Practice Manager, Lyndsey is responsible for staff management and strategic planning. She joined our team in June 2011. One of Lyndsey’s main responsibilities is patient care coordinator as our head treatment coordinator. She is also DAANCE certified. Lyndsey enjoys coordinating patient care and providing ongoing support to her coworkers.

When she is not in the office, Lyndsey can be found spending time with her family and going to Disney.

Nicole

Professional Relations Coordinator
January 2013

Nicole is our professional relations coordinator. She joined our team in January 2013. Some of Nicole’s responsibilities include checking emails, converting online paperwork, checking patients benefits, and visiting our referrals. Her favorite part of her job is getting to visit our referring doctors’ offices and getting to know their staff. Nicole is our in-house IT person; she is who we get when we have an issue.

When she is not at work, she can be found at a Tampa Bay Lightning game, reading, or traveling. One of her goals is to visit all of the NHL arenas.

Tali

Surgical Assistant
February 2023

Meet Tali one of our Surgical Assistants, she joined our team February 2023. As one of our surgical assistants her responsibilities include assisting Dr. Cornejo during local procedures, maintaining patient’s airway during sedation procedures, cleaning the rooms in between patients, setting the rooms up for the next patient, and treatment planning during consults. Tali is bilingual and excels at helping our patients and ensuring they have a great experience while in our office.

When Tali is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her children.

Taylor

Surgical Assistant
July 2016

Taylor, one of our surgical assistants, joined our team July 2016. Some of Taylor’s responsibilities include assisting in local and sedation procedures, and treatment planning during consultations. Taylor has been recognized for the level of organization and labeling she has implemented while maintaining our crash cart. She is also DAANCE certified. Taylor excels at reassuring our patients during their consultations and loves that she has the ability to make patients feel comfortable during their procedures.

When Taylor is not at work, she can be found spending time with her family, shopping, or watching Greys Anatomy.

Tiffany

Surgical Assistant
June 2019

As one of our Surgical Assistants, Tiffany has several years of experience. She was with us from 2011-2015 and came back in June 2019. Tiffany’s responsibilities include assisting Dr. Cornejo during local and sedation procedures, and treatment planning during consultations. She is DAANCE certified. Tiffany’s favorite aspect of being a dental assistant is making patients feel comfortable during their procedures, and she is great at adapting to help wherever her team needs her.

While not at work, Tiffany is busy taking care of her three children while her husband is deployed. She enjoys playing with her kids, Xander, Hunter, and Renee. She loves to garden and read as well.

Selena

Surgical Assistant
May 2023

Meet Selena one of our Surgical Assistants. She joined our team May 2023. Selena is one of the assistants that help Dr. Cornejo during surgeries, she also takes x-rays when a patient needs them. She is bilingual and is a member of DANB, she received her CDA from Traviss Technical College. Selena loves assisting in surgeries while being able to help, and meet, new people every day. Selena is great at maintaining airways during sedation procedures and assisting the doctor during local procedures.

When she is not at work, Selena enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and shopping.
